Opportunities for Talented Young Scientists in Climate Science
The Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune, an Autonomous research organization, fully devoted to research in various aspects of climate science is looking for recruiting bright talented candidates of Indian origin to fill 20 Research Scientist positions in the following areas : (i)Development of a Dynamical Prediction System of Seasonal Mean Monsoon Rainfall, (ii)Extended Range Prediction System for active and Break Spells of the Monsoon, (iii) Parameterization of Tropical Convection for Weather and Climate Models, (iv) Interaction between Tropical Convection and Environment and Physics and Dynamics of Tropical Clouds using Radars and (v) Climate Change and Indian Monsoon.
Requirements for the posts are as under :
1. Scientist `E` : 03 posts, Pay Band : Rs. 37400-67000 Grade Pay Rs. 8700/-
2. Scientist `D` : 07 posts, Pay Band : Rs.15600 – 39100, Grade Pay Rs. 7600/-
3. Scientist `C` : 08 posts, Pay Band : Rs. 15600-39100, Grade Pay Rs. 6600/-
4. Scientist `B` : 02 posts, Pay Band : Rs. 15600-39100, Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-
